Ordinance for admission in the faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce and Education to the graduate classes (except professional courses) from the session 2008-09 and on wards.

    Provided that a candidate

  1.      Who has studied Chemistry as one of the subject at B.Sc. Part I, II and III will also be eligible to take the admission to M.Sc. Biochemistry.
  2.      Those candidates who have studied Economics as one the of the subject at B.A. I, II and III will also be eligible to take admission to M.Com.
  3. Applied Economics Provided that in the Faculty of Arts the requirement of subject of study at graduate level for admission to various subjects (except Mathematics and Statistics) shall stand waived in case of students obtained 55% or more marks at qualifying examination. Admission of such candidates in any subject shall not exceed 10% of the total number of seats and their merit shall be prepared on the basis of qualifying examination only.
  4. For purpose of preparing merit list for admission to M.A./M.Sc. Classes, the marks obtained by candidates in the subject concerned at Part III examination of the graduate level in which he/she is seeking admission, be added to the aggregate of marks obtained at qualifying examination and then converted into percentage. Provided that those candidates who have passes the degree examination of this University and passed their Part I and Part II Examination from other University, their merit shall be prepared only on the basis of marks obtained in this University in accordance with the principle of the para.
  5. Period between the year of passing the qualifying examination and year of application shall be treated as gap and the deduction of 2% of the marks obtained every year subject to a maximum gap of three years. Those having a gap of more than three years shall not be eligible for admission
  6. When a candidate has joined one course he/she be not considered for admission in any other course.
  7. A candidate who has already completed part I of any course shall not be admitted to part II Class after three Academic Session of passing part I Examination.
  8. The reservation will be applied as per University rules in the post graduate admission also.
